For more than 60 years Duresta have been producing quality furniture and are suppliers to the foremost furnishing specialists throughout the world.
Their frames are made from selected hardwoods, each being dowelled, glued and screwed for trouble free long life. The standard specification, as seen below, includes coil sprung seating, with all fittings and stuffings being fire resistant to meet the latest British Government safety regulations. All their upholstery is in the hands of bench trained craftsmen. Fabrics are individually hand cut and expertly sewn, with valances hand slipstitched.
It’s what you don’t see that counts:
1 Cushion fillings are carefully matched to best compliment the furniture designs and the needs of the individual and include Du Ponts ‘Quallofil’, Duck feather and High resillience foams.
2 Sinous tension springs are used for back support.
3 Layers of webbing, hessian, upholstery felts, high density foam and fibres are used to make up arms.
4 All fabrics are individually hand cut and pattern matched and all cushions are reversible.
5 High density edge profile is combined with foams, felts and fibres to form a durable but flexible seat base.
6 Frame corners are braced and fitted with ‘Kenrick’ orbital castors or, when the design dictates, polished brass castors.
7 Frames are made from selected solid hardwoods, glued, screwed and triple or double dowelled as appropriate.
8 Protective layers of hessian and polyester fibres are applied to all outer surfaces.
